Our bachelor group consists of one mechanical, one electrical and three software engineers. We are students associated with the University of Southeast-Norway at campus Kongsberg. Our assignment was given to us by Siemens.

We are on a mission to come up with an innovative, cheap and effective way of confirming the fluid flow within the exhaust of a gas turbine compared to CFD's. The environment inside the exhaust pipe is a hostile one, causing all sorts of problems to take into consideration.

The solution we are working on is to transport air via pipes in and out of the exhaust and measure the temperature of the air before and after. This way we will get an idea of the exhaust flow within the exhaust.
