The iGluue team
Provided by Kongsberg Discovery, the goal of the project is to deliver an automated system for applying two-component adhesives to cermic sonar components.
We are using a ViscoTec pree-flow eco-DUO 330 as our glue dispenser.
Using this hardware, we will be able to dose extremely small amounts of glue,
as the smalles dosing quantity is 0.005ml.
This is important as the SY50 is very small.

We are repurposing an UR5e robot that was previously unused by KD, bringing it back into production.
The ViscoTec dispenser is mounted on the UR5e, allowing them to work together to automate the gluing process,
which is done manually today.
The UR5e is designed for versatility and adaptability, making it an ideal choice for our solution.
We selected this robot because it is lightweight, easy to program and has a high pose repeatability.
It has a total weight is 20.6 kg, with a payload capability of 5 kg.
